Special Witness: Elder Oaks

Elder Oaks bears his testimony about the sacrament.
Why did the Savior institute the sacrament? How can partaking of the sacrament help us draw closer to our Savior? Elder Dallin H. Oaks of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles describes the Savior’s introduction of the sacrament to His Apostles and testifies that participating in the sacrament is the most important act in which Latter-day Saints participate on the Sabbath. Partaking of the sacrament helps us to remember the Savior’s sacrifice for us, renew our covenants with Him, and be cleansed from our sins. Elder Oaks testifies that the Savior lives and that He has “has provided the way for us to return to our heavenly home.”
